We are a community based preschool with over 70 years of dedicated service, located in Blackheath.
Our Programs
At Kookaburra Kindy, our diverse programs prepare children for school readiness while nurturing meaningful relationships and fostering confidence in learning.
With an inclusive approach that draws from various educational theorists, incorporating play based learning whilst following the Early Years Learning Framework,.
We ensure our curriculum is dynamic, flexible, and tailored to meet the unique needs of every child.

Our music and movement program cultivates children's creativity and coordination, fostering a love for rhythm and expression while enhancing their motor skills and social interaction.
Through our outdoor program, including gardening and wet weather play, children develop a deep connection to nature, resilience, and an understanding of environmental stewardship.
Our Bush Kindy sessions immerse children in Indigenous heritage, local fauna and flora, fostering respect for country and promoting cultural diversity.
Additionally, our dedicated group time provides structured learning experiences that prepare children for the classroom setting, promoting collaboration, communication, and cognitive development.

We are open Monday-Friday 8:30am-4.00pm
Contact us for 2024 and 2025 enrolments The Kindergarten operates during the NSW School Terms and we are closed during NSW public holdiays. Contact us via email, phone or using the contact form below.
Fee schedule
Minimum 2 day per week attendance if you are claiming Fee Relief.
Our Fee schedule is as follows:
Health Care Card holders, NDIS, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent: $35 per day
4 year olds: $45 per day.
3 year olds: $45 per day
Annual Enrolment Fee: $60 per family
Afternoon Tea/Fruit Levy: $12 per day of attendance per term ( Attend 2 days per week equals $24 each term )
Fee Relief is available for two days attendance only, bringing the fee to $0.00.
